Voyages Longitude 131°, Ayers Rock

Situated on a secluded sand dune close to the border of the World Heritage listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Voyages Longitude 131° is possibly one of the best luxury wilderness camps in the world.

This award-winning luxury wilderness camp showcases the spectacular geography and biodiversity of Central Australia, as well as the ancient culture of Anangu (Aboriginal people) who have lived in harmony with this magical land for thousands of years.

A group of only 30 pampered guests awake to a preciously private view of the sun rising over Ayers Rock or Uluru. Reflecting a rainbow of colours, the world's largest monolith drenches the sky with its fabled light as it rests in awesome isolation in the flowering desert.

A white dome roof, fabric draped from its centre, create the illusion of camping, albeit in glamorous comfort. The flick of a bedside switch is all it takes to raise the blinds and marvel at the theatre unfolding before you.

Communal dining in the Dune allows guests the chance to meet fellow 'campers' and exchange stories of their desert encounters. Dinner is a three-course set Modern Australian menu. Private dining is also available on the Dune Top or poolside and with a setting such as this, it's highly recommended.
